This microstope stage-mounting incubator facilitates extended in situ imaging of biological samples through temperature, humidity, and gas regulation using an included temperature controller and adjustable flow meter. An insulating exterior heating element and anodized aluminum construction of the incubation chamber expedite warm-up times, and the water jacket design ensures thermal stability and high humidity. A matching anodized lid seals and insulates the incubation chamber, and samples can be observed through a removable glass viewing window. Adapters can be purchased to accommodate additional cell culture vessels. The unit shown is designed to mount to a Nikon Ti2 S-SE-E microscope stage, but customization is available on request.

An external gas supply is required for climate and humidity control; pre-mixed pressure-regulated gas cylinders are a simple solution. Gases are bubbled into the sealed water jacket channel where they are humidified to >95% and directed to the incubation chamber by the internal lid geometry. The assembly is light enough to be used with motorized stages, even when filled with water. A version compatible with piezoelectric stages is available upon request.
